This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with our website, orders and customer service. We follow the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) where it applies, together with applicable provincial privacy laws, including substantially similar private-sector laws in Alberta, British Columbia and Québec.

Information we collect

Depending on your interaction, we may collect identity and contact details; billing and delivery details; order, payment-result, refund and transaction records; account details; messages and support records; device, browser, IP address and approximate-location data; website, cart and checkout activity; Cookie identifiers; marketing preferences; and fraud or security signals. We do not receive or store complete payment-card numbers or card security codes.

Sources and purposes

We receive information directly from you, automatically from your device and website use, and from Shopify, authorised payment providers, delivery and fulfilment providers, analytics providers, advertising providers, fraud-prevention services and customer-support providers.

We use information to operate and secure our website; provide cart and checkout functions; process payment; accept, fulfil, track and deliver orders; manage cancellations, returns and refunds; answer enquiries; prevent fraud; maintain tax, accounting and legal records; improve our services; measure performance; and provide marketing where permitted.

Consent and other legal authority

We obtain meaningful consent for collecting, using or disclosing personal information where consent is required. Depending on the circumstances, processing may also be authorised or required by law without consent. You may withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice; withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing and may limit services that require the information.

Service providers and disclosures

Shopify hosts and supports our online store. Authorised payment providers process payments. Delivery and fulfilment providers receive information needed to deliver orders. Analytics, advertising, security, fraud-prevention, cloud and customer-support providers process data for defined services. We may disclose information to professional advisers, regulators, law enforcement or another authority when permitted or required by law.

Cookies and tracking

Strictly necessary Cookies support the cart, checkout, authentication, fraud prevention and security. Analytics, advertising, personalisation and other non-essential technologies are used with meaningful consent where required. Available preference controls can be used to change Cookie choices.

Electronic marketing

Commercial electronic messages are sent in accordance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). We obtain express or valid implied consent where required, identify the sender, provide contact information and include a working unsubscribe mechanism. Unsubscribe requests are processed without charge within 10 business days.

Retention and safeguards

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the identified purpose and legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention or dispute obligations. When no longer required, information is securely deleted or anonymised. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including access controls, secure communications, provider safeguards, monitoring and incident-response procedures.

Processing outside Canada

Shopify or another service provider may process personal information outside Canada. Information in another country may be accessible to courts, law enforcement or national-security authorities under that country's laws. We use contractual and organisational safeguards and remain accountable for personal information under our control as required by applicable law.

Your rights and complaints

Subject to applicable law, you may ask whether we hold personal information about you, request access, challenge its accuracy or completeness and request correction. You may also withdraw consent where applicable and challenge our compliance. We may verify identity before responding.

If a privacy concern is not resolved with us, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the applicable provincial privacy regulator.

Children

Our website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly use children's personal information for behavioural advertising.
